CHAPTER 1

It all started when there was a huge sale in the fish market & crowds consisting of mothers & young boys were around the fish stall. Among the people was a young lady trying to get through. She was squeezing through the crowds, also with the same goal in mind as everybody else. It was so cramped, she couldn't breathe among this 'ocean' of bustling villagers. Little boys playing catching made her stumble in all directions. Loud shouts of demands were heard in the front line.

"Oh, this is awful! How can I ever finish shopping for groceries like this?" she sighed. There were so many chores to do, do & do!

Bodies were stuck to each other, and the smell of sticky sweat went through her nostrils. It was known that most people in the village were so poor they can't even apply good hygiene practice. She started feeling dizzy and her consciousness began to drift away. Her body went limp & slowly descended to the ground.
In slow motion, her eyes closed heavily but then they were fluttered open again when she felt a pair of strong arms catching her.

"Are you okay, miss? Miss? Please get a hold of yourself, Miss!" She was startled when a handsome face filled her vision. She found herself staring into the bright crimson eyes accompanied by eyebrows that joint together, showing worry.

"Ah ah, yes I'm fine! I'm s-s-sorry, sorry, sorry! I'm sorry f-for troubling you um!" she quickly set her feet on ground, dusting her dress. There was a twinge of blush on her face. She has never made that kind of physical contact with a male. And anyway, who's this guy? I have never seen him before around here, she thought. The tall guy kept quiet...then burst into laughter. She was puzzled.

"What are you apologizing so much? Its okay, as long as you're fine .You know you're cute when you're stuttering, Miss. Do you stutter like that with others? Haha!"

Her eyes widened & her cheeks went beetroot red. She didn't expect such a stranger to say that. "S-s-shut up!" How rude and embarrassing! To tease an insecure girl like that! she thought. She huffed and puffed as she marched off. She doesn't have the time to entertain teasing yet handsome strangers. "HEY MISS!" She was startled by him calling her, but due to her overwhelming feeling of embarrassment, she just ignored his calls. He sighed.

"Ish, how could she march off like that, forgetting her fallen handkerchief? What an idiot," he muttered.

Clutching her handkerchief that has a name embroidered on it, he broke into a grin. "Well, at least I get to know somebody in this foreign village. A clumsy one by the name of Dahlia,"  he chuckled.
