a smile can do so much,yet seem so little?

Today's Monday, so obvious-ly, my foul mood was turned on automatically before I can stop it & painted on an emotionless face cos looking angry/sad uses a lot of energy. I'm just like that. I just give everyone a blank look, & they'll be like asking/ or telling me my face is as pale as A GHOST. Haha, very funneh. Little did I know it will not last long.
Just w the grin & a laugh, my foulness evaporated just like that. It turned my frown upside down. I was mindblown.
It's amazing how someone's smile can brighten one's day, even if it's just a little. It doesn't have to be the love of your life or anything. It can be an old lady talking on the phone, chatting to her son excitedly about the dishes she's gonna cook when he comes back. And there, a big lopsided smile was pasted on her face. You can't help but feel happy for her. It can be a guy you saw at the canteen, he was laughing & cheering cos his team won the game. His team mates slapping him on the back, teachers going up to him to say good job on that last goal. And again, the teen who was once an antisocial person grinned from ear to ear Or better, it can be strangers on the street who display smiles when you accidentally make eye contact with them. I'm sure you have experienced this? It's kinda of wonderful, this interaction that affects us even if we're not involved.
Eventhough mine's different, but it was just a simple smile & grin that makes the dull sky a little colorful. I'm thankful, because if not for that, I was actually planning to shut out everyone, do my work & go home straight. This shows a smile can change someone's day. I don't know if my smile can brighten someone's day, but I wish I could :) (( If I'm pretty enough MAYBE I WOULD BRIGHTEN EVERYBODY'S DAYS HAHA OK))
So, let's all smile even if it's only Tuesday tmrw ;D
WHY? Who knows? Maybe someone out there needs your smile.
